Former Thyssen Steel Mill, Duisburg, Germany

Spring and summer 1999

The plant has been closed in 1995 and since been transformed into a large open park.

The blast furnaces, the buildings, and most of the installations have been left on the site and converted for use as stages and halls for concerts and all kinds of events. On weekends, the whole site is illuminated by means of a spectacular installation designed by Jonathan Park who also created the light-show for Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' tour.
